Okie let's rewind a day back to Friday.
DY arrived at my place at about 10.30am which means I had to forcefully get up at 10am. I say forcefully because I get up at about 11 or 11.30 XD . why not? It's the holidays and not to mention I go to bed at 3 or 4am :x ..
It was my idea to meet for breakfast anyway C: so we did, after that we headed to her salon ~ It's called "Get Nailed" and its at Liang Court. Unfortunately not the best location for a parlor but you gotta start somewhere right? Starting up is never easy.
I didn't think about it much but I guess it looks sorta Christmas-y, so that's good, I should have given it more thought and picked a design like this D:

She had her hair dyed while I had a manicure.

We spent.. between 3 and 4 hours at the salon because DY had to have to hair re-dyed and styled. Then we finally went to get food. YAAAYYYYY char kway teow ♥ ♥ ♥ best hawker food ever C:
Went to DY's house and shortly after Jun came over and we watched Pulp Fiction, much more hilarious watching it a second time, the first time I was just trying to string the story together. I believe Jun and I were laughing and talking far too loudly for DY to focus on the movie. So she didnt like it ):

It was just nice catching up with Jun XD
Then then then, the mother of coincidences happened.
Jun said he had a friend Cecelia coming over for our overnight mahjong session (gambling session :x) I have only ever known one Cecelia all my life. And I remember her so clearly because her surname is Ang. I was so excited when I met her because I thought I might finally be 2nd on the class register.
But ... Her surname didn't come before her first name like some of my friends, so I was still number 1 that year.
So when Jun said Cecelia was coming over, I had a hunch and I just asked, is her surname Ang? Is her chinese name QX ?
"YES! Omg how do you know! "
XDDDDDDDDD
My old friendddddd . When her cab pulled up I went down to open the door and bring her in, I just stood there hoping she would recognize me and she did !
What a small world.
The rest of the night was filled with primary school memories and also some high school stories and the shuffling of tiles. I had a really great night that night, I was unusually lucky and it was quite scary but as shifu DY says
I should never feel bad and never try to change the flow of the game. (as in she once had a huge winning streak and felt bad for winning all the money so she intentionally didn't show her winning hand and gave up her winning tile and .. it ended badly. Mahjong is highly superstitious anyway. The order where you sit and pick the tiles and arrange them, the fengshui of your seat, the environment and which hand you use to draw a tile, everything matters :o !
TLDR, never mess with the mahjong gods.)
We ended our session at about 7am, DY and I had a sleep til about midday when she got called out by her staff.. so .. I got to sleep til 2pm while she went out to do some errands. Had yummy mee sua and the large Taiwanese fried chicken. Hhhnnngggg soo goooooood ... so unhealthyyyy... I can feel literally feel cholesterol and the cancer going inside me as I chew XD ! #worth
Time for me to head homeeeee, what an experience riding the MRT again, just completely flooded with people the entire hour home.
Then I got home.. and the previous angry post happened,
in my anger and unhappiness I suddenly got a text from Sinyean (he lives 5 mins from me, and he was my colleague in SPH, and he studies in Melbourne so we write to each other sometimes C:) to go out for supper! I immediately said yes.
Dad was like "Where are you going now?"
I screamed "I can go wherever I want whenever I want, why do you care! I know how fussy you get so I planned ahead and came home to be with the family but when I do no one cares!"
He looked quite confused and sorry .
I went back to my room and thought about it and felt very stupid and sad I yelled at him, it's really trivial, it's just dinner, and the act of sitting down at the dining table together and I got so mad. But to be fair he makes a very big deal out of it each day and it's been drilled into me that I have to be there whenever I can.
"I'm sorry I overreacted, I'm going out for dessert and my friend's driving me to Serangoon Gardens. He's my friend from Australia but he's also a friend here and he lives just 3 bus stops away from us."
My god, I'm so weak I can't even be mad for more than 5 minutes.
Dessert was yummm, at a place called Dessert Bowl and it was so crowded and lively! Will definitely go there again.
Alright, I have more to write about but I'm tired of typing, will continue another time~

Friday, December 05, 2014 - [no pleasing the hamids. ]
I had a great day yesterday and I just got home and unfortunately I'm in a not so good mood so I'm unable to write about yesterday.
That's a lie, I can, but I rather rant and write when I'm in a better mood.
Came home today at about 7.20pm, as in I entered the door at 7.20pm which is the perfect time because dad always says be home by 8pm or 9pm he can never make up his mind. He gets so angry over me coming home late, I don't even know why, he probably thinks I'm out drinking and selling myself.
Anyway, so I planned my day accordingly so I would be home at a nice time and join the family for dinner. To display responsibility I texted my dad and stepmom
"Hey I'm on my way home, see you in an hour" because dad's always "remember to tell us where you are, who you're with, what time you're back and becareful what you eat! Don't forget to text Haslinda, she doesn't like to be left out"
I came in and I saw my stepmom in the kitchen. Wow! Because she usually comes home around 8.30 and skips dinner or mysteriously eats it away from the dining table. So I saw her blending some stuff with the helper.
I went over very excitedly and said "Hi you're home! I never see you home this early!" (You know I kinda suspect that she intentionally comes home early when she knows I'm not around because my dad says she does have dinner at the family table but I've been home a week and NEVER has she sat at the dinner table, talk about being left out)
She smiled at me, I showed her my freshly manicured nails and told her about DY's lovely new salon (which all my SG readers should go to at Liang Court at Salon Symphony!) and that she should go when she needs to get them done. She just smiled and said nothing.
Then I said hi to everyone else and went to my room 3 floors up. Saw the light from my brother's room 1 floor above mine so I went there.
"HEY! YOU'RE HOME! I thought you ended work at 9pm, I never see you before 10pm, didn't you say December is your company's busiest period and you can't get off early?"
"It's Friday, who wants to work?"
"Oh .. okay I'm gonna shower then let's go down for dinner together"
"Uhh... I always have dinner in my room."
"Don't be like that, just go downstairs and eat together today!"
I went to shower. Anyone close enough to me knows that I shower very speedily, even Zac finds it outrageous. You were only in there for 30seconds!
I came out and I heard the clattering sound of cutlery against ceramic, so okay, my brother ignored me. I went downstairs and only my dad and my sister were at the table and she was doing her homework with him supervising.
O_O!
The kitchen was completely empty, no food, no dishes, nothing.
Did I go into another dimension while I showered ._. They were preparing dinner, and I get out and they're all done. So there was no dinner for me. My helper just said - no one told me you were coming home.
Good jawb, so glad I texted I was coming home. So glad I even decided to come home for dinner.
I cooked a pot of instant noodles even though I really really really did not want any but I was hungry, and I sat at the dinner table where my sister was studying and my dad said "Go away, don't sit here you'll distract her"
WTF.

So you want me home because you want me to be with family.
You shoo me away from the dining table when I want to eat.
You yell at me from 4 floors below to come downstairs for dinner every single day.
You scream at me if I decide to carry food to my room.
THERE IS NO PLEASING THIS GODDAMN FAMILY.
I don't even know what I have to say to my stepmom to get an actual live response from her. Sure she can text and email but her mouth is always shut if I'm around.
I don't know what time, or where I have to be, what clothes I have to where, what words I must say to please my father.
THIS IS WHY I NEVER WANT TO COME HOME.
FUCK.
I will NEVER NEVER be such unreasonable parents. Thanks alot guys for showing me exactly who I don't want to be.

HERROW! :3
Also, today while editting this selfie, I discovered a new filter in my phone called "Big Eyes". whut? O_O so the top one is some "Sweet" filter while the bottom one says "Big Eyes" .. hmmm.. really?
Now that I look at it I supposed there's a teeeny difference XD
Okie anyway so this beautiful morning, where I woke up at 5am and chatted online until 7am and slept again to 10am, Zac and I decided to rearrange our room ~ So initially our bed is facing the front, and our heads go towards the window and wall, and there's a table against the wall on the left of the photo.. Zac was packing shit so fast I couldn't grab a pic ):
So just imagine a table right in that white space, playing the computer is facing the wall. So we all the bedsheets, toys, chair, fan and everything ever onto the bed which we've tilted sideways so our head is to the posters now.
Still no fish in our fish tank XD going to get some soooooonnn
And my new toys corner :3 again .. QQ this post feels so incomplete because I didn't take more 'before' photos ): maybe somewhere in my old posts when we just moved in (July) has them :o
Hmm.. backtrack to yesterday ~
Check it ouuuuuttt. The rest of the evening was full of jokes about Len becoming a celebrity and abusing his newfound privileges :3 LOL.
It was make-your-own-pizza night. Golly. I really don't like pizza ): but yay for my own ingredients!
So this is my wondaarrfuull creation. Pizza tomato sauce base thingy + smoked salmon, prawns, pineapples, capsicum, chicken bits and mozarella cheese ~ It was soooo filling I ate three quarters of it only ):
but but... that's 'cause there was dessert waiting D: so while the pizza was cooking, I went to look at the prezzies ~
The roses are soooo beautiful, although I'm quite sure they were there already. There's a new stereo for her car, a bouquet of silk flowers from us in that white square vase and we also got her a $30 movie voucher :3 because she enjoys the Gold Class cinemas heee
Their family friend Kathy bought that antique clam-like vase with silk lavenders. Kate bought her the Jennifer Saunders book and a little intricate tea strainer-infuser thingy. So pretty U.U

Wednesday, October 10, 2012 - [pleasant october day]
I haven't been keeping my word at all, I haven't been very busy, I just have no mood to write. I have alot of things to say about my life, I just had an unexpected trip to Sydney, just finished filming "Commitment Issues", just volunteered on the news station, reconnected with vicky and wanting... I got mad yesterday and went on a shopping spree.. but I don't know why I wasn't driven to write until today.
Today I went out very randomly.
On Monday night I was thinking so hard about what to eat on Tuesday for dinner, go with Aaron to a sushi buffet? cook something? eat and yuans? eat 9pieces of KFC for $9?
I was so stressed that on Tuesday itself I actually didn't eat dinner. How about that? I had a shopping spree on Tuesday because I was mad about being locked out of the apartment by a certain someone and then I shopped and wasn't hungry the rest of the day.
I was home when a concerned weiyang asked "so what's for dinner?"
I think he felt guilty because I asked him to accompany me but he couldn't so he gave me his entire Wednesday. awww [: where do I wanna go? I wanted to go to Movie World actually, not for the rides, but to finally get the batman hoodie and a new bottle because I lost my first and melted my second. Golly.
So I was feeling a little torn both ways, wanna go to GoldCoast but it's soooo far away and I don't particularly feel like going, but I know eventually I want to .. so no, movie at SouthBank ^-^ . We went to watch Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted! Lighthearted and funny movie, I think I needed that, full of cliches and cheese but it was a cute cheerful movie.
weiyang showed me how to get free drinks at the casino! LOL. After that we met Royston and shopped for their friend's birthday present, but the shop closed before they made a final decision lololol. I went to Typo and bought cute things impulsively.

then we went to take the citymeow to UQ to get their car to nomnom @ Malaya Corner. Today was probably the first time I talked, really talked alot to Royston. I previously just knew he was a bartender haha. So today we talked more, about TV dramas, music, his future plans, cooking, xbox games and guns :x hahaha very random topics but it was cool.
I'm glad that we have a few things in common, isn't it always great to find someone new to talk to ? ^-^
Here's what I bought on Tuesday, Idk why my mac doesn't read the other photos, so here's just one ~ two pairs of shorts in two colours because they're cute :3 In my blurness I actually took size 12 for the red one, thank goodness I managed to exchange it today for size 8 phew~
Today was such a simple yet pleasant day. I really liked it. [: am thankful for such nice people in my life.
