Everytime I fly between Brisbane and Singapore I have a different emotion.
In my first year I departed in tears of fear and joy, like a natural person leaving home would I guess. That year I came home crying as fast as I could and didn't want to return. I only returned for my 2nd year a day before classes started. My life changed dramatically that year and I was unhappy about being made to go home. In my 3rd year I flew back to Brisbane happier than ever and decided not to come back for a year.
At the end of the 3rd year I felt it's been too long and I did want to escape certain responsibilities so I felt thankful a holiday had been planned.
Now, as I walk through the airport alone, again, I feel so depressed. I am beyond glad to be going back to Brisbane to the life I've made there at the sametime I feel so reluctant to leave home.
On the drive to the airport I told dad about how unnaturally smooth, happy and relaxed this holiday had been and it without doubt was the best time I've had between all the trips home from Bris.
Today, I just feel like.. it's the end.
The next time I return, I'll have graduated, my brother will be married, every thing will change. The family I know will never be the same again. The home will have a different feel. Change is always scary I guess. This morning, alot of emotions have surged through me and I realize how much I love, my silly annoying little family that makes me rage and scream and cry and run away all the time.
+ brother :x
I can't imagine my life without all of you, please don't grow too far apart after 2015 . . .

Disclaimer: This is not how I intended the post to turn out. I got lazy after we returned from Paris so I left all the photos in the hands of my father. Every night he would worry about the limited capacity on his phone so he deleted many pictures away himself. Thus.. I'm unable to make some references or jokes that I had intended to when I took those pictures.
Disclaimer 2: The internet has gone to shit since I came back to Singapore so my mood across this post might vary and I might get so pissed I stop writing altogether. You have been warned.
Back in London, no time to rest from Paris, we were out and about the next day! Did I mention some asshole decided to suicide on the train tracks on our way back from Paris causing us almost a 2hour delay in going home from King's Cross.
ANYWAY it was the day we were going to watch Thriller Live! C: and I was pretty meh about it because I wanted to see Mamma Mia or The Lion King. (that everyone ever has watched except me *pouts)
Then Daddy said okay we're going to Shaftesbury Avenue first to walk around. I'm like
WUUUUT?! Did you mean THIS Shaftesbury Avenue from HP 7 Part 1?!
Sorry. I haven't watched the HP series enough. So I got excited and went mad and took pictures with all the "Shaftesbury Avenue" signs I could find. I actually got so agitated at one point I screamed at dad "TAKE MY PICTURE HERE RIGHT NOW!" when the poor man was trying to take a picture of something else. Sorry ):
Jamie Oliver's C:
that reminds me, I need to try some of his comfort food recipes especially the Crab Linguine .....
Anyway C: this area is the Heart of London, it was far more busy than the other places we've been too. Needless to say, my favourite part of London City already!
It's theatre central here :o
Oh lerdy, I remember reading this book "The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time" when I was a kid and staying glued to it the entire time. AAAGHHHHHH MUST WATCH .
But we were gathered there that they for Thriller, so .. no.
EMPAIIYAAA, this is where movie premieres are held. Like the premiere premiere with celebrities and stuff :3 or so I was told.
We had time to spare so why not ride a carousel.
Studying film has ruined me, now I get so excited over anything related to a film I've seen :O
Time for the show! Oh yes we also had a delightful 7pound per head chinese buffet :3 warrmm foooood.. riceeee... RIIICCCEEEEEEEEEE .. and honey lemon ~
I'm so proud of this little girl getting excited about MJ. You will go far in life kid!
Let the show begin!
Let the show end!
That guy, yeah that one, can you see him?
The second from the left,
no that's a black chick,
the long-haired guy in black.
SECOND FROM THE LEFT DAMMIT.
Yes that one.
He's amaaaaaaaaaaazing ♥
We went to do some shopping after the show, which for the record was nothing like "This is It" the movie, so I was pleasantly pleased. Unfortunately, my favourite song "The Way You Make Me Feel" was a mega disappointment because it was sang by the black chick wearing white, second from the right. Yes the one beside MJ. No of course not the real MJ, an impersonator silly. So she came out and sang it with her in-my-opinion-not-so-great voice, unlike Mr. Second-From-The-Left and had a group of male backup dancers with her. BOOOOOO, should have been Mr. Second-From-The-Left ♥ singing with the backup girls.
Yes so we did some souvenir shopping, look at our most thoughtful gifts for everyone!
What you see is about 20 T-shirts and 30 Eiffel Tower keychains because Kathy once told me you can't show favouritism.
AREN'T YOU SO BLESSED TO BE MY FRIENDS ? SEE HOW MUCH I THOUGHT OF YOU GUYS!
Just kidding, none of that's for any of my friends. BAHAHAHAHA, you guys get the best things:
1. My wonderful blogposts
2. My wonderful Facebook Album with all 906 photos
3. My wonderful voice when I meet up with you and blabber on about my trip for hours
those gifts are for my sister's friends from school (yes she insisted on buying 30 Eiffel Towers and said maybe we need 40!) and our many many many younger cousins between 1-10 C:
Lo and behold our shopping bags with the well-thought-out gifts :3
We had intended to head to Harrods to buy some real gifts, I mean, you know, for the special people in our lives. But we were thwarted by Sunday opening hours. So instead, we just went to walk down Brompton Road and Kings Road.
Oh and here's Harrods all lit up for Xmas :3
As you can guess, this is the rich people district, if you are Dick Whittington looking for streets paved with gold, this is as close as you'll get.
McLaren & Bugatti showrooms
How about a 130million Pound penthouse apartment overlooking Hyde Park?
Since we were there, we walked past Winter Wonderland at Hyde Park. Of course everyone dreams it looks like that.
In reality it's just another overcrowded fair where you probably get mugged and injured from the hoards of parents desperately trying to please their kids.
Sorry I'm so stereotypical, but it's the sad sad truth.
I do like fairs, but, this is such a turn-off, all you do is spend absurd hours queueing everywhere and absurd amounts of money on games food shows and what not. Where is the joy you're supposed to get out of this
The next morning we got up early to journey to Winterfell.
Of course this picture is a fake, BUT I SWEAR I TOOK ONE EXACTLY LIKE IT but it's been deleted.
We did not reach Winterfell, but after 4hours we did reach Manchester.
The Theatre of Dreams
Look at this traitor of an Arsenal fan.
And that's all we did that day.
No I'm serious. Besides the famous stadium there is practically nothing in Manchester. I used to be so jelly of people on my Facebook studying in Manchester, sounded like a beautiful place. but NOPE.
Maybe it was the rain. We tried to go to the Manchester City stadium but naaaahhh who wants to go anywhere in the rain and cold and horrible 1-lane streets. Just like Birmingham, we did nothing and only went for the drive. Aaaaand traffic works made it worse so indeed the entire day was gone just driving to and fro.
The next day, was a shopping day I suppose, quite a random day. First we journeyed a fair distance to Canary Wharf where the big business buildings are, I wanna say CBD, but I don't think it is the CBD.. maybe one of them ?
Oh look, I've worn a different coat for the sake of photos (biggg ragret)
Uhh.. hmm... Oh there it is,
top right side,
Thomson Reuters
You know wherever I go, people go like "Oh you're so rich, you're so lucky, what do your parents do" and I go "I'm not rich, yes my family does okay maybe a little above average, but we're really just like every one else."
Of course stupid bitter shitheads will nod their head but think I'm lying, at least no one in my family drinks Starbucks every damn day. Maybe if you stopped buying stupid overpriced coffee and bagels and going for high tea you would have more to spend rather than "Oh your parents are rich, so lucky" Bitch they earned it.
Sorry I did say my mood would swing in this post.
ANYWAY, Reuters is a huge huge huge company, and whenever someone asks what my Dad does, I say he works for Reuters because I know "Thomson" isn't that recognized among.. .. the people I mix with. If they look at me cluelessly I instantly judge them.
SORRY
but if you don't know the company Reuters I don't want to be your friend. You should be ashamed. Daddy's company has several people with Pulitzer prizes.. I want one. Some day.. maybe :o
200 Pounds (about $450 SGD) for a 130s Merino wool suit? HELL YEA that's about half the price he would get if he bought it in SG.
No size sorry.
Nevermind off the Westfield in Stratford we went~
Here's a joke on the tube, I did not get it until it was explained to me. Maybe some of you will get it.
IN MY DEFENSE I didn't know the word Sweater was used in a different context, I've never heard it being used other than as the obvious piece of clothing.
We had lunch at a giant Nandos after acquiring suit. Nope, no Paella in London either.
(There's meant to be a couple pictures here of the beautiful Nandos restaurant and it's very magical hanging lights, they've mysteriously disappeared from the phone hmm... )
THIS DRINK WAS AMAZEEEEE, please no expose on me for providing a free advert for this drink D: (only XX readers will understand this XD)
Aaaand back to Harrods after. Oh dear oh dear, Harrods has changed! The marvellous green room with gifts has disappeared! Dad and I just wandering about cluelessly, asking even more clueless staff where the Green Room is ...
Want a 4000 pound shoe? It's on sale, only 3800 pounds now!
Jesus look at these. I get that you're all famous and richy, but come on, why would you design something like this. Once again the pictures of Jimmy Choo, Balenciaga and all the big names are gone but their shoes are ridiculous.
ALSO, 4000 pound shoes without any sales staff or security in the entire shoe chamber. You're doing it right Harrods!
It was dark when we went to the Natural History Museum for some ice-skating, which had been pre-booked a month or more early because these people are cray cray over ice-skating. Honestly was a tiny and very watery rink.
When I finally get round to editing the video, you'll see the insane crowd at the rink and how terrifying it was to skate, on my own I wouldn't fall but the crazy people speeding around without control is too damn high.
I fear iceskating because some day some one will crash into me and make me fall which is fine. Then a second crazy dude will speed past without looking and slice off my fingers D: !
While we were skating, Dad had a little catch-up with an old friend Peter who he hasn't seen in a quarter of a century. DEAR GOD, this Peter guy, is a musician, event planner guy. So if you want Taylor Swift to come perform in Singapore YOU CALL HIM! If you want to Ed Sheeran on tour, YOU REQUEST IT FROM HIM!
Jesus why did you keep him from me dad )))): WAAAIIII..
I was very sad .. so sad, I would have been happier not knowing that Dad had this connection. He said to us "I could have gotten you free front-row seats to Thriller and gotten the entire cast to sign the Thriller Souvenir Book for you" GODDAMMNN my one chance with Mr. Second-From-The-Left ♥
Deep breaths..
deeeeep breaths ..
heee.. hooooo...
Xmas eve~ a little fox hopped into the garden turning on the motion lights during the night.
whooooosh~
Of course we're out and about, who stays in and rests on a holiday? Honestly.
Yup, you're right, we're at Windsor Castle! The Children's society thingy brought 4 Pygmy ponies outside the castle. That's cheating.
We're walking where Emma Watson has walked! :o
ehuehuehue I got an Under 17 pass. omg . UNDER 17 ! when I've just passed... 18 C:
Queen Mary's never-before-played-with Dollhouse.
Sorreh, no photography allowed but the castle was absolutely magnificent. We toured the Grand staircase, the bedchambers, the dining halls, the Garter room (that's where the Knights Investiture is held) the audience rooms and ahhhhhh ...
About 20minutes away was the Hampton Court Palace.
Unfortunately closed but I would assume also no photography allowed. This palace tho, had a huge garden, a maze, an entire river, an ice rink and so much. Felt like such a waste not coming here before xmas eve ): Ohwell.
Xmas day was spent at home, cleaning the lovely house my uncle had graciously lent us and packing up to go to Dubai ~
I shall end the post with this most heartwarming note I received on Christmas morning C:
Yes you may ask me what provoked her into writing this note.
